Removing PTWin32 from a computer
Deleting a PTWin32 installation from Windows

Tip #: 4.1.81
Ver(s): PTWin32

A standard PTWin32 installation copies nearly 2,000 files to your hard drive. It makes dozens of Registry entries and installs a variety of libraries and other driver files. You can’t just delete the\PTWin32 directory and consider the un-installation a success.

When you install PTWin32 it registers a un-installation program with Windows. If you select Start | Settings | Control Panel and then choose Add/Remove Programs you will be presented with a dialog box that lists all of the programs you have installed that have registered an un-installation program with Windows.

Scroll down through the alphabetic list until you find PTWin32 and push the Add/Remove button to begin the un-installation process. This will remove the shared files, program items, etc. Depending on the configuration of your computer, some items might require manual deletion. If so, the un-installation program will detail the situation for you.
