What's with the dot?
Knowing without looking
Tab indicators show populated fields

Tip #: 4.2.89
Ver(s): PTWin32

We place tabbed notebooks on PTWin32 windows to organize the fields into meaningful categories. This allows you to have access to far more fields than would ever fit in a window without a tabbed notebook.

With a normal tabbed notebook you have to go to each tab and check to see if any fields are filled in to make a complete survey of the record. But with PTWin32 you will find a green dot appears on tabs that have at least one field populated.

The green dot that tells you there is some data on the tab appears to the left of the tab name. If there is no green dot on a tab then none of the fields on that page have been filled in.

This simple interface feature allows you to tell at a glance where you have to go to get directly at your data. So keep an eye out for the green dot. It will make you a more efficient user of PTWin32.
