Introducing PTWin32 |
Sharing PTWin32 on a
network involves the installation of software on more than one processor. First
there is the Network Server software
installed on your file server. Then there is Network
Client software that is installed on your workstation. These installations
work together to permit the sharing of PTWin32 among many users. Usually data
resides on the file server. Each workstation is then given access to this
centralized data. The Client
software generally consists of a database engine that allows you to see the data
on the file server, and any private settings or query results you may generate
while using PTWin32. If something goes
wrong with your local Client software
installation then you may need to run the installation again in order to fix the
problem. If this is the case, execute the Setup.exe program found on your master CD. You will be presented
with a wizard that leads you through the process. After some initial information
and licensing business you are presented with a screen containing a vertical row
of check boxes.
