Introducing PTWin32 |
The PTWin32 Downloads section of this web site contains a variety of files that can be used to learn more about PTWin32 and Black Bear Systems, Inc. These files come in different formats as follows:
To view PDF files you
need a free utility program called the
Acrobat Reader. If you do not already have the Acrobat Reader installed on your
computer you can download the latest version from Adobe for free at:
The PKZip files available on the PTWin32 Web Site have been converted into self-extracting executable program files. This means you do not need a copy of PKZip software in order to decompress contained files. Simply execute the downloaded file (using Windows Run command) and the contained files will be automatically unpacked.
Lotus ScreenCam movie files can be quite large and may require a great deal of download time depending on the speed of your connection to the Internet. To minimize download time we have compressed the ScreenCam movies into self-extracting PKZip files (see above). Execute the downloaded file (using Windows Run command) and the contained ScreenCam file(s) will be automatically unpacked. Once a ScreenCam file has been unzipped you simply execute it to view the movie.
The Ad Hoc Report Writer is also called the Shazam Report
Wizard and is an SQL query engine and report writer that comes with PTWin32. Ad
Hoc report files have a file name extension of ".SRW". You can create
new reports or edit existing ones, including those downloaded from this site, by
pressing the Ad Hoc Reports button on the Main Toolbar of PTWin32.
Report Builder reports are also called RB Pro Reports and are used primarily for the output that result from pressing Print buttons on Window Toolbars. Report Builder report files have a file name extension of ".RTM". You can edit Report Builder reports, including those downloaded from this site, by selecting Edit RBPro Reports from the Report Setup menu of the Reports pulldown menu in PTWin32. Paradox reports are generated by loading a copy of Paradox Runtime from within PTWin32. Paradox report files have a file name extension of ".RSL". You can create new reports or edit existing ones, including those downloaded from this site, by purchasing a copy of Paradox for Windows. Paradox also represents a powerful tool for the manipulation of PTWin32's data which is stored in Paradox SQL tables.
