The need for regular backups of your PTWin data

How important are backups? If
youve ever lost all your data you know the answer to that question. If not,
youre one of the lucky ones, but the odds say your luck will not last.
Eventually a hardware error, power failure, or some other calamity will corrupt your data
beyond repair or cause you to lose your records completely. The only way to avoid losing
your data is to make regular backups of your PTWIN\DATA directory.
One alternative for backing up data is the backup module built into PTWin. PTWin Version 2
makes industry standard PKZip compression files that can be used with other PKZip
programs.
Make backups as often as possible and rotate the disks you use. Keep one of your backups
off-site in order to make disaster recovery as complete as possible.
We can not stress the need for backups enough! For more information see "Backup"
in your PTWin manual.
