Store the text of your code in PTWin

Tip #: 1.3.17
Ver(s): PTWin32, V2, V1

PTWin’s Code Enforcement module has the ability to store the full text of your Municipal Code so that it is instantly available for consultation.

You can enter your codes on the Municipal Code page of the Selection Values window. Each code record contains 3 fields: A Code Identifier which is usually used for the legal section identifier assigned to each part of your code; A Code Descriptor which is usually the shorthand name given to each part of your code; And a Text memo field which can contain unlimited text for the body of each part of your code.

When you are creating a Code Enforcement record and pull down the list of selections for the code violated you will see the Code Identifier and Code Descriptor for all of the code records you have entered into the PTWin system. Selecting a value from the list will fill in both fields.

To view the text of the code you have selected simply press the Code Text button found on the Code Enforcement window toolbar.

You can use the standard Windows cut, copy, and paste commands to enter your Code Text or to move it to another Windows program. If your code is already in an on-line format, you can choose to use a copy of Paradox for Windows to import your codes into PTWin, or we can import it for you.

Storing the text of your Municipal Code in PTWin makes sure you’re never at a loss for the particulars of your Municipal Code.
