Using Lists
Pull it all together in one place
Gathering
records from all over the PTWin system

Tip #: 1.4.21 |
| Ver(s): PTWin32, V2, V1 |
Sometimes there is a need to group a
bunch of different records together. Most times PTWin does the grouping for you, as in the
Permit Window, which groups records from nearly 15 different data tables. But occasionally
the grouping needs are unique to you and your situation. When this happens you should turn
to the PTWin List function.
Think of a List record as a place to define connections between records from all over the
PTWin system.
Suppose you wanted to keep track of all PTWin records that referenced a certain company.
That company might own properties, act as a contractor, hold any number of licenses, or
have a record of citations. You could easily link the many disparate records that mention
the company on a List record.
A List can contain any number of Permit, Parcel, Inspection, Fees, Receipts, Contractor,
License, Code Enforcement, or Time Tracking records.
You can also print two reports about a List record. The first is a directory of all the
member records associated with the List. The second is a detailed report that provides
more information about the members of the List.
You can work on your List records by loading the List Management window from the Main
Toolbar, or you can assign your current record to any list by pushing the List button on
the Window Toolbar.
To learn more about using the List function see your PTWin Help File or User Manual.
