Packing it In
A slacker set right
How to Pack the PERMINFO table
|
Tip #: 2.1.25 |
| Ver(s):PTWin32, V2 |
The PTWin database table called
PERMINFO contains all the data you fill in on the Permit Info tab of the Permit Window.
The Permit Info tab is controlled by you and can be changed to contain fields you specify.
Since the number and size of fields you might specify from one permit type to another can
change dramatically, the possibility for slack space forming in the PERMINFO table over
time is high.
Slack space doesnt hurt anything but it does make PTWin run a little slower and it
takes up unnecessary space on your hard drive.
Every so often the system administrator of each PTWin installation should execute the
Tutility Table Repair program that comes with PTWin and run its Pack Perminfo function to
remove slack space from this database table.
