Turning off re-memorized pulldown choices

Tip #: 3.1.48
Ver(s):PTWin32

To provide ease-of-use we set a number of PTWin combo box fields to “memorize” new entries and add them to the list of acceptable values. In version 2 you could delete a value you no longer wanted, but if you changed a historical record containing the deleted value it would be “re-memorized” and return to the list.

In an effort to provide the best of both worlds we have added an Active? check box field to the Selection Values in PTWin32. Choosing Selection Values from the Options Menu displays these check boxes. Removing the check from the Active? check box for a value will prevent it from appearing in the combo box list.

The same is true of user records in your Security User List. You will find an Active User? check box next to each User’s name. When you remove a staff member from the system simply uncheck the box. The user will no longer show up on lists but that users historical activities can remain intact.
