Introducing PTWin32 |
PTWin32
marks the introduction of View windows that have been designed for
specific types of staff members. Each View window focuses on the
information most pertinent to that specialist. There
are three View windows available in PTWin32. The first and most
prevalent window for viewing permits is Management View. Management
View gives the user complete access to 18+ tabbed notebook pages of
information about a permit record. This window allows you to delve into
every nook and cranny of a record including any custom fields or pages you
may have created in Modifications. Plan
Review View pairs down what you see in Management View and
rearranges the display of data to provide a window focused on the
requirements of plan review staff. This
View shows approvals, conditions, permit information, checklists, and
two pages for reviews and plans that display graphic outlines of the data. The
window easily allows you to manage the workloads of multiple reviewers from
multiple departments and each review can document many individual reasons
for a decision. You
can group approvals by department or by permit, and filter open approvals
from all approvals. Plus, you can check the current workload of any given
reviewer at the push of a button. With PTWin32’s Plan Review View your data is displayed in a way that allows users to center on the approvals process of permitting. The
third View window available to you in PTWin32 is the Front Desk
View. This window is designed to provide access to information most
necessary to the entry of a permit record. Staff members can easily create
records while the applicant stands before them. This
View has tabs for applicant information, contractors, fees, receipts,
any custom fields you may have defined in Modifications, and an
administration page that combines information about the parcel with
important date and status information. This
Front Desk View simplifies the process of initial permit record
creation and allows staff associated with data entry to streamline their
tasks. Each
PTWin32 user definition has settings that determine the View that
loads when they press the Permit button, as well as Edit, View,
or No Access security settings for each of the three Views. If
you have rights to all of the Views you will be able to access them
from the Permit selection of the Activity command on
PTWin32’s Main Menu. To change your default View or rights
select Security from the Options command of the Main Menu.
You will need to have system administration rights to do this.
