Tip #: 3.3.57
Ver(s):PTWin32

PTWin32 comes with over 70 reports in 3 different formats for you to use or modify. When you install PTWin32 the files that generate this printed output are put in the directory \PTWin32\Reports. Users who choose to create or modify reports usually start with one of the included reports as a base. This saves a lot of time defining data models and layouts.

Once a user changes a report they should save their new report under another name and set that name as the report to print in PTWin32…But it doesn’t always happen that way.

Sometimes users save their changes to the original file name. After some editing they discover a need to return to the original template report but that file was lost when they saved their edited version to the original name. If you are in this situation you will be happy to learn of the directory \PTWin32\Reports\RptBack.

This directory contains a copy of what your \PTWin32\Reports directory looked like at installation. You can copy files from this directory up to \PTWin32\Reports whenever you need an original report. Remember to rename your changed report if you don’t want it overwritten.

If the files in \RptBack have already been compromised don’t worry. You can also download your original reports from this web site or you can get them from your master CD.
