Tip #: 3.4.69
Ver(s):PTWin32

While you can print reports from either of the Report Writers included with PTWin32, it is also possible to print reports from other areas of PTWin32. There are 2 types of these reports. The first type are reports that print most or all data from a single master record. These reports are usually run from the Print buttons on window toolbars. The second type of report summarizes selected data from many records & is called an Activity Report. These reports run from the Reports menu of PTWin32.

PTWin32 allows you to choose which report prints when a user pushes a Print button or selects an Activity Report. There are 3 places where you can substitute the name of a custom report for the PTWin32 default report.

To substitute an Activity Report select Set Report Names from the Report Setup menu found under the Reports menu. Select the report from the list and enter your report name in the User Report File Name column.

To substitute a Print button report select Modifications from the Options menu. Select the PTWin32 module from the Module Type column and enter the name of your report in the Report Name column.

To substitute Permit window Print button reports based on Permit Type select Modifications from the Options menu. Select the Permit module from the Module Type column and press the Change button. Select your Permit Type and enter the name of your report in the Report Name column.

Depending on where you are in the system, PTWin32 recognizes 3 report file formats, SRW (Ad Hoc Reporter), RTM (RBPro), and RSL (Paradox).
