Pushing the Post Button

A Family Pass
And not a B Movie in the lineup
Multiple installations allowed by the PTWin32 License Agreement

Tip #: 4.3.97
Ver(s): PTWin32, V2, V1

Before most of our Drive-in movie theatres disappeared there were two ways to pay for admittance. The more common way involved each person in the car purchasing a ticket.

This invariably led to some poor little guy(s) hiding in the trunk and an increased need on the part of the theatre to watch for “sneaks”.

On the other hand certain enlightened theatre owners charged only by the vehicle and not its population. These theatres were more popular and their snack bars did better business. But those days are gone…

We get a number of calls here at Black Bear Systems from clients that want us to confirm that our license agreement allows for multiple installations of PTWin32 providing those installations are doing the work of the licensed jurisdiction.

We realize that it is very unusual for a software vendor to pass up the chance to charge money, but when it come to PTWin32 we charge by the jurisdiction, not the number of staff members that need to use the software.

Let us take this opportunity to assure all of our PTWin32 users across North America that we charge by the car, not the number of people stuffed in the trunk.

If you want to install a copy of PTWin32 on your notebook or home computer to do your licensed jurisdiction’s work you go right ahead.  You can read the license agreement for yourself by pushing the button on PTWin32’s opening splash screen
