 Introducing PTWin32 |
In
PTWin32, some buttons are smarter than others. Just how smart a button can be
depends on what you are doing when you press it. Of course there really is no
such thing as a “smart” button. What’s going on involves assumptions made
because of where the button is located in PTWin32. For
example, PTWin32’s Main Toolbar contains a Parcel button that
shows the Parcel window. Pressing this button opens the Parcel window
to the first parcel record in the file. This is because the button is on
PTWin32’s desktop, & the act of pressing it does not convey any
information about the specific parcel record you are looking for. On
the other hand the Goto Parcel button on the Parcel tab of the Permit
window knows which parcel is attached to the current Permit record.
PTWin32 uses this information to open the Parcel window to the very
record associated with your Permit.
