Put Your Footer Down
Plenty of room for boilerplate
Report footer memo fields hold large amounts of text

Tip #: 5.1.124
Ver(s):PTWin32, V2, V1

Often time’s users find themselves with a need to place some text at the end of a printed permit or report. This body of text usually contains items like legal notifications, warnings, signature blocks, and/or procedural guidelines. This kind of text is referred to as “boilerplate”.

If you have a need to place a block of boilerplate at the end of your reports you will find that PTWin32 accommodates your needs with its default reports. The software provides footer memo fields for each of PTWin32’s window toolbar Print buttons including a unique footer for each individual permit type.

Selecting Modifications from the PTWin32 Options menu displays the Modifications dialog box. This dialog box displays a table containing fields for the module type, the report name, and the report footer memo. Double clicking on one of the report footer memo fields will display a memo edit dialog box that allows you to insert as much text as you need at the end of the report.

The Permits report footer memo on the Modifications dialog box holds text required for internal reports. If you select Permits and push the Change button you will see the Permit Modifications dialog box. This dialog box contains a report footer memo field for each of the permit types you have defined in your copy of PTWin32.

The report footer memo fields do not have a limitation on the volume of text entered so you can print as much information as you want at the bottom of your reports.
