Introducing PTWin32 |
Normally you won’t
find us recommending that you delete PTWin32 records. We firmly believe that
storage and backups are cheap so there is no reason to completely delete any
records ever, right? Well there is one example we can think of where it might be
advantageous to get rid of some PTWin32 records, and that would be in Inspection
Scheduling. If you consider the
information contained in an Inspection
Scheduling record you will realize that all the pertinent data is moved into
the Inspection record once the
inspection is carried out. This means that old scheduling records represent
redundant data. Generally that’s no big deal but after a while those old
scheduling records begin to add up. If you have 5 inspectors doing 5 inspections
per day then you are creating 6,500 Inspection Scheduling records per year. At these numbers,
depending on your processing/network speed you could start to see things slow
down considerably after a year or two. And for what? A bunch of old scheduling
records from years gone by. If you are
experiencing a noticeable slow-down in the way your PTWin32 Inspection
Scheduling is responding then load the scheduling window and press the Delete
All Before button.
